Christine Fitzpatrick

Christine Y. Fitzpatrick, Ed.D., is Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chancellor at IUPUI.  She has more than 30 years’ experience in higher education as a leader and administrator, a teacher, and a scholar. Concurrent with her administrative positions, Fitzpatrick has also served as an associate faculty member in the School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI and the School of Informatics and Computing. As Chief of Staff, she manages a wide range of matters of institutional importance on behalf of the chancellor; works with university colleagues and community members to advance strategic initiatives; and serves as the chancellor’s liaison to intercollegiate athletics and alumni relations. Previously, at IUPUI, Fitzpatrick provided leadership for community engagement (IUPUI Solution Center), technical communications (UITS and the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology, Indiana University); and STEM program design and direction (School of Engineering and Technology Minority Engineering Advancement Program). Fitzpatrick has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University and a doctorate in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University.  She and her husband, Don, a fine arts photographer, reside in Zionsville.
