Eric Goodman is an associate with Ice Miller LLP where his practice is primarily focused on private equity and venture financing transactions, representing start-up and emerging growth companies, and general corporate matters.
Eric's professional experience includes representing private equity clients in equity and mezzanine investments, leveraged buy-outs, and recapitalization transactions and representing both buying and selling companies in merger and acquisition transactions. Eric assists clients with a variety of equity and debt financing transactions including raising equity funding from angel investors and venture capitalists and structuring debt. Eric also counsels start-ups and high growth companies in managing the risks and legal issues facing entrepreneurs in small business ventures.
Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2003 with a focus in Economics and Spanish. Eric received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington in 2008 and his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Management in 2008.
Eric was one of the founding members of Friends of Riley, a young professional organization focused on keeping young professionals engaged in philanthropic activities following college, and is still active in planning large events like Broad Ripple Block Party on behalf of Friends of Riley.
