Sign me up - I'm ready to Donate $500 to help students gain access to stem programs!

What is #GivingCircletuesday?

TPF4Y has launched a giving circle for professionals working for, or doing business with, a STEM-focused company and who want to ensure that underserved students get the opportunity to experience cool programs like coding, robotics, math pentathlon, and more. Membership is purchased with a $500 donation and there are only 125 spots available.

  • Join. Donate $500 ($250 for current & past Orr Fellows) in order to join the TPF4Y giving circle. Payments can be made monthly,* membership is good for one year, and there is no commitment to continue membership each year. Donations must be submitted by November 1st in order to count towards that year's #Giving(Circle)Tuesday event. All funds will benefit TPF4Y, with 50% of dollars raised going toward a program chosen by #GivingCircleTuesday members' vote during the annual event.

* If you would like to talk about making monthly payments or are an Orr Fellow wanting to join the Giving Circle for $250, please send us an email at and we'll get you all set up!

  • Vote. Giving Circle members are invited to the annual #GivingCircleTuesday event, held on the first Tuesday in December, where they will be able to vote for their favorite nonprofit or program providing STEM programming for underserved students. Attendees will receive one vote, as well as a t-shirt, pint glass, and the ability to bring a guest. There will also be individual and group opportunities to volunteer with the recipient of the funding.

A giving circle is a form of participatory philanthropy where individuals donate their own money to a pooled fund, decide together which charity or community projects are the recipients of the funds, and, in doing so, seek to increase their awareness of, and engagement in, the issues covered by the charity or community project.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. #GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a group of individuals within the community to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.
