When she is not fighting injustice in her self-appointed role as a Jr. Community Crime Fighter, Laura Dodds, the smart and sassy Executive Director of TechPoint Foundation for Youth, is leading the organization's major initiatives, operations, and the fabulous men and women who make up the Board of Directors.
After experiencing majors ranging from fashion merchandizing to outdoor recreation, Laura eventually made it out of IU with a BS in Family Studies, later completing her MPA with a concentration in nonprofit management at IU-Indianapolis.
An undergrad internship in California led to Laura's passion for bettering the lives of our communities' most vulnerable citizens - our children. This passion helped her to secure a poignant career with Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis that eventually cemented her in SoBro, where she remains with her 1 husband, 1 set of twins, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and 14 chickens.
Laura has won some scholarships and been given some awards, which you can find on LinkedIn, but what you won’t see there is her crowning achievement of being named 8th grade class clown in her hometown of Chesterton, Indiana.
During her off time, Laura over-involves herself in her children’s school, coaching both the robotics and math pentathlon teams, and tries to exercise enough to burn off the extra calories consumed in the form of cupcakes and wine.
