TechPoint Foundation for Youth and the IU School of Education invite K-12 students to be a part of TPF4Y’s Coolest Projects Event, celebrating designers, builders, coders, makers, and tinkerers.
Coolest Projects was created by the Raspberry Pi Foundation as “the world’s leading technology fair for young people,” and there are events held in the United States and United Kingdom, as well as an international event taking place in Ireland. As a long-time partner of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, TPF4Y is excited to be hosting an off-shoot of the event in Indianapolis.
There two ways to get involved in TPF4Y’s Coolest Projects Event:
Design It Make It Challenge
Teams of students will work together to solve a real-world problem by designing and building a solution that improves animal health and safety.
Projects should be completed before TPF4Y’s Coolest Projects event
Teams will present their solution to judges at the event
Register a team, review resources, and see FAQs on the Design It Make It Challenge webpage
Design It Code It Challenge
Working individually or in teams, students will complete fun coding challenges using Scratch, Java or Python. Challenges are available for all levels of coding experience.
Challenges will be completed during TPF4Y’s Coolest Projects event (no prep work is necessary)
Awards will be given to the top coders at the event
