FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do I pick up my Box Lunch/Concession Card Pre-Order?

Can I bring Food & Drink into Lucas Oil Stadium?

Food and drink from outside vendors WILL NOT be permitted at any time in the building. For example, teams/spectators will not be able to order pizza or Jimmy Johns and bring them into the stadium. For info on Lunch Options, see below.

Why is there a suggested Entry Fee?

Annually, TechPoint Foundation for Youth's staff and board work tirelessly to raise $600,000 in philanthropic dollars to make the State Robotics Initiative possible for Indiana students. This year at the State Championship event, TPF4Y will be asking for spectator entry donations at the door of the event. This suggested entry donation will be for spectators and guests of the event- not coaches, team members, and event volunteers. Every dollar raised will go directly back to supporting Indiana elementary, middle, and (new next year!) high schools who wish to launch a robotics program for their students. Suggested entry donations will be a $3 individual or a $10 max family donation. We will have volunteers stationed at both the North and South entrances collecting donations by cash and card - cash is preferred for the speed of the transaction. Thank you for helping us make #Robots4All a reality in Indiana!

Where do I find the First Aid/Emergency, medical professionals?

There is an EMT on call in the Volunteer Area. If you have an emergency, ask a nearby volunteer to call for the EMT on a radio. There are radios at every Team Check-In table.

Where is Lost & Found?

Lost & Found will be located on the North Plaza at the Welcome Table near the horseshoe.

What are my Lunch Options if I didn’t order in advance?

A variety of concessions and vending machines will be open to teams and the general public throughout the day. Visit the Maps page for a map of all available concessions. We expect an average cost for lunch (sandwich or hot dog, chips, and drink) will cost about $12 per person. Please note: we are expecting a very large crowd and long lines so we will be opening even more concessions stands this year as well as additional vending machines.

To help manage lines and crowds, we are staggering lunch times for each division. See below the time for your division.

  • Elementary lunch = 11:30am-12:00pm

  • Middle IQ Lunch = 12:00pm-1:00pm and

  • VRC Middle + High School = 12:30pm-1:30pm

If you pre-ordered a State Championship t-shirt, the shirts will be available to pick up at the North Plaza of Lucas Oil Stadium near the horseshoe, just present ID or receipt of your pre-order purchase. Pre-ordered t-shirts will be organized by last name, so if a coach or parent comes to pick up the entire group’s shirts, they should come with a list of all team members.

What if I didn’t order a T-shirt during pre-order, can I still Buy a T-Shirt?

T-shirts will be available to purchase while supplies last the day of State for $20 at the North Plaza of Lucas Oil Stadium near the horseshoe. If demand is present, additional T-shirt buying options may be made available.
