TechPoint Youth Welcomes Julie Stanley as New President & CEO

TechPoint Youth is excited to announce that Julie Stanley has joined as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 3rd. 

With more than twenty years of expertise in the nonprofit and education sectors, Julie brings extensive knowledge in organizational development, program innovation, and strategic growth. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for TechPoint Youth, as it continues its work to transform lives through STEM education in Indiana.

Julie’s career reflects a deep commitment to youth development and STEM education. As Co-Founder and Executive Director of Camp Curiosity, she empowered students from kindergarten through 12th grade to explore STEM concepts through hands-on learning experiences. Before that, she spent eight years in senior leadership at the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, where she managed grantmaking operations, distributing over $42 million in charitable donations, and built partnerships that increased program funding. Her leadership helped the foundation earn its first four-star rating from Charity Navigator and grow its global impact.

In addition to her executive experience, Julie has worked as a philanthropic consultant, helping nonprofits strengthen their programs through strategic fundraising and sustainability planning. As a respected writer, speaker, and thought leader, Julie is known for building collaborative teams and guiding organizations toward lasting success. TechPoint Youth looks forward to her vision and leadership in expanding access, engaging educators and industry partners, and creating opportunities for Indiana’s next generation of innovators.

Reflecting on her new role, Julie shared her excitement about this new chapter. “I am honored to become part of such an incredible team, supporting a mission of such great significance to me. Serving others is at my core, and I am grateful to join an organization that strongly believes in the power of education to change lives. Every child deserves the opportunity to discover what they love and the support to explore it.”

Julie’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for TechPoint Youth. “That's why I am especially excited to join TechPoint Youth as we approach the upcoming season of giving. This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign feels particularly meaningful as we aim to raise $25,000 to host the Indiana Robotics State Championship. There’s no better way to start this new chapter than by giving our young innovators an unforgettable experience that celebrates their hard work and bright futures. I couldn’t be more excited to join such an amazing organization at this moment.” 

Kristina Simkins, incoming Board President, shared the board's perspective on the search process and strategic vision for TechPoint Youth's future. "Our board conducted an extensive search to find a leader who could navigate TechPoint Youth's next phase of strategic growth. Julie's track record of building sustainable STEM programs and her commitment to equity in education made her the clear choice. As Indiana's robotics landscape evolves with the shift to a regional model, we see tremendous opportunity to deepen our impact. Julie has the vision and expertise to expand our reach while maintaining the quality programming that has made TPY a trusted partner for students, educators, and communities across all 92 counties. We're confident she'll lead us into our most impactful chapter yet."
